I'm well aware that we have a long way to go - to be expected with a young team. I just find it sad, occasionally laughable, that some Wigan fans are so intent on knocking Wane that they seem unable to fully enjoy a fantastic victory.
I watched the match in my Wigan shirt, my wife in hers, + another 2 Wigan supporters in a pub packed with Rhinos fans less than 5 miles from Leeds city centre. How could I come away from that and only be bothered about our last 2 defeats?
Exactly, like I have always said some seem to enjoy us losing, struggling etc. for whatever reason.

That we played fantastically well and won easily, does that help?

Think they're all in geordieland enjoying the win.

Credit where credit is due, workman like, industrious, all putting in a shift, working as a unit, so well done to each & every player
"Scores on the doors" - 7 for each player (those who read my posts 7 is my minimum requirement for a player so that goal was reached tonight, so again well done each player (a 'Wig - a-ness' performance under adversity after the recent nightmare performances)
Were we the best team, no, can we improve near the business end of the season (strange asking that when we are currently 2nd in the league, but you know what I mean?), as a Britain's Got Talent judge says a BIG FAT YES!
Onwards and upwards.. please, home and away (is that a an Aussie soap?)
For TV viewing Newcastle St. James Park came across well against size of the crowd there unlike previous venues selected for the magic weeknd that were souless to say the least! Presume lots of Northumberland locals who sound like Ant & Dec supported the game today?
A&L
(just like Belfast!)

Reason we won tonight we stuck to the basics forwards doing their jobs and no stupid passing cross field(Waneball)

I'm backing Wire tomorrow mostly because I want Stains to get their arses handed to them again. Wire seem to treat MM as a big occasion whereas Saints just treat it as another league game.

What is not to enjoy about a Wigan victory. Even for someone that believed Wane is a poor coach and that our erratic form is down to him it would be churlish not to enjoy Wigan winning as it is childish for someone to use a result to insult fans who do not agree with his view. As someone who has been criticised for being obsessively anti Wane you deserve to be criticised equally for being obsessively pro Wane.
Your post had nothing to do with Wigan winning, no mention highlighting good play, player it was simply an excuse to attack abuse other posters. There is no merit, no worthy analysis or discussion points. Merely, an excuse to personally attack other posters.
I am really pleased we won today. I have just returned from watching a man just shy of his 70th birthday put on an awesome show, I am now off to watch a great Wigan victory and after that I will gladly give umpteen plaudits for the win. I can be positive and negative whereas you struggle to be both and prefer bitter and twisted.
P.S Watch Brian Ferry if you get a chance. Definition of cool! at nearly 70!

If 2 defeats leads to "sack the coach" calls, then this win says Wane DOES know what he's doing. Right tactics, good substitutions and superb motivation - all despite a team packed with inexperienced youngsters versus the top team of the past 5 to 10 years.
Well said!
