Bowen had a mare at full back. Matty has a habit of making cock ups in the big games. Time to give Hampshire another run out.

Joel was poor in defence and god knows what was going on between Sarge and Josh.
No.

Thornley and Gelling centres when fit and Sarge FB.

Rocky is more of a liability than Bowen and that saying something after tonight
you have gotta feel for rocky.Hes a stand off that's being tutored on the fullback position by Bowen.

From my usual sofa perch, good for the neutral that match, RL arm wrestle at its best

We were well in the game 1st half

A few things that stood out to-nite on the negative side:

The 20metre restart cock-up! What on earth was that!

Ill-discipline at times. Tell me was it sin bin or report time Mac M into the Stains head or Joel with the knee into the same part of a Stains player ??

Silly given away penalties when Stains are well trapped in their own half
Bowen? (Jekyll & Hyde player)
Charnley’s defence?
Bateman’s offloads at times?

We are now 3rd in the league as I write, about right for me to what I think is a poor league this season & seen against our away form (what form?)

Most quoted or heard after match comment this year, “We were not good enough…” SW

How true, but on a positive note the way the league is at present can’t rule out Old Trafford but on a finishing negative one we won’t win the GF

Sorry do not care he gets paid and as a FB he is not good enough. Just hope he stays and becomes our half eventually.

I must have been watching a different game to many of you, I thought TT put in a prodigious effort tonight in both defence and with the ball.
Come back Rocky Hampshire, all is forgiven.

Micky mac not as good as Roby???

When MM was at start Roby was nowhere to be seen.
Powell came on and suddenly saints are at our doorstep and Roby is a major threat.

Thats not Powells fault hes not the same player as MM but if i would pull Wane on one thing tonight it was taking MM off we know if you let Roby play hes dangerous so why remove the one player that keeps him quiet.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I agree with this that MM should have played a full 80, would we have won well that's another question.

Sarginson is surely conning a living, he can't run the ball, pass it, tackle and even when he does gives stupid penalties, surely theres a kid in the academy better, week after week he's awful so why do we persist in playing him ?

Simple Burges to fullback and Manfriedy on the wing, Burges is superb under a high ball and has an eye for an opening from the fullback position.JOB FIXED, CAN I BE THE COACH.
IF sw HAD KEPT DRIVING THE FORWARDS THROUGH THE MIDDLE THE SPACES WOULD HAVE DEVELOPED OUT WIDE.

Again we played home game tactics in an away game and lost.
Same as we did for almost 10 months.
We didn't play like that v Leeds nor Hudds, we played low risk rugby.
Tonight was a shambles.

It started with TT's penalty when we were 6-0 up. That pen against us changed the whole momentum of the game.
We clung on to go in ahead at half time.
When we pounded upfield with the forwards our pack made 2-3 times more meters than the Saints forwards. Once we started throwing the ball around it all went wrong. As it did at Catalans and before.

After Leeds and Hudds that was very disappointing to go back to losing tactics.
Waney's got to change tactics away from home and sort out his front row interchage as at present it isn't working.
