One should have been penalised for a high tackle......again that was missed.

I agree meds.Apart from that it's so so obvious that George IS a 7.Gels has not got a clue in defensive positioning.Lockers is finished and we do not have any go forward in our own 25.
Agree with tbw that Bateman played well AGAIN,just like mm,Farrell and manfredi.
I called for Bateman to play centre( at the start of the season).not because he is one,but because we are so poor in that position
Same old same old every week for me

I cannot believe that a professional backroom staff think that Gelling is in the correct physical condition to play. He had hands on knees after 15 minutes gasping for air and from 30 minutes out, he was a passenger.
I may not rate him but this can't be doing his long term career any good, never mind the current team suffering because of his lack of fitness.

What choice have we got when the "back room staff" were stupid enough to go into the season with two rookie centres and one other who was long term injured?
Not only that but when the injured one is fit again he is loaned out prior to leaving next season when we have one of the other two centres injured going into the playoffs!
Absolute garbage squad management in this position.

In a closer game, it'd be the difference.
What do you mean in a closer game? Kick those and we'd be on 24 points and yes they got a drop goal but there is a huge difference if you keep within touching distance or reel in a lead by turning 4 points into 6.
Instead you look to be getting not much closer, the other team won't be under as much pressure and so on.
Those missed goals were very important and a much bigger factor in the loss than the ref. You can't control the ref but you are the master of your own destiny with the kicks.

We are having difficulties winning at Headingly but away from their place we can beat them anywhere.
We beat them regularly at Wigan, won the last three Magic at neutral grounds and won the C Cup Final v them at Wembley.
I have no fears about playing Leeds away from Headingly whatsoever.
Laughable from the SKY lot. Leeds all over Wigan, making breaks everywhere. Wigan can't make a break and Leeds defence is awesome.
Then it ends four tries each!
How much a month are we paying for this lot?

Have to disagree with one of the three Charnley played well tonight. If it wasn't for him hall would have got two more tries and the one try they got from the offload he did his best to stop it. On the attacking front the stats showed that 7 plays went to the left and I think 2 to the right.. If a winger isn't getting the ball he isn't going to score.
I wouldn't be surprised if the second half stats showed similar.

3 games won away (in a poor SL this season),but have a brill home record (again in a poor SL this season) , knocked out of the Challenge Cup early doors all down to….put this out for discussion purposes..
Bowen (sell by date)
Charnley (attack hero defence zero)
Gelling (Marmite – I Don’t touch the stuff)
Bateman (very good & getting better)
Manfredi (potential is there to see )
Williams (very good & a big future awaits surely?)
Smith (very good but was he really an ‘A’ game kicker?)
Flower (future cage fighter career beckons)
McIlorum (excellent but not every game though)
Mossop (Not the same since enduring long flight to Australia)
J Tomkins (contract in my pocket now so that will do)
L Farrell (very good to excellent, once upon a time was on the MoS list)
O'Loughlin (precious memories)
Powell (squaddie)
Patrick (average)
Sutton (average).
A&L
9just like Belfast?)

Refereeing was poor but that is not why we lost.Tomkins, Mossop and Gelling were below par once again.Smith creates nothing and George needs to be playing at 7.We were dominated in the forwards and even Flower and Lockers were average.
