This wasn't special dispensation in terms of wages, just amount of players used.
What it tells you is all the excuses about not being able to sign anyone due having played those kids were a pile of poo.
That said as the guy is coming now and IF he can play as he did before he joined Canberra he will add just the sort of aggression our front row lacks. The sort of prop we need.
I just hope for his sake he negotiated his salary in $USD given he just got a 10% pay cut before he starts.

Well put it this way - "If" Wigan have to make changes to their squad etc. to get FPN under the cap then it will show that what they did/said over the Wakey game wasn't a "Pile of Poo"? Agree?DaveO wrote:Totally bowled over by the unassailable logic, comprehensive and detailed counter argument there!JUKESAYS wrote:I bet it wasntDaveO wrote:

That would depend if you could prove any changes to the squad aren't for other reasons.JUKESAYS wrote:Well put it this way - "If" Wigan have to make changes to their squad etc. to get FPN under the cap then it will show that what they did/said over the Wakey game wasn't a "Pile of Poo"? Are you expecting Bateman or another player to leave this season for example?
Oh and just to add, regardless of this point I am excited at the prospect of watching him play THIS season. Makes a nice change not having to wait.

But it's Ok for you to say Wigan were talking Poo when you can't prove that Wigan were talking Poo?DaveO wrote:That would depend if you could prove any changes to the squad aren't for other reasons.JUKESAYS wrote:Well put it this way - "If" Wigan have to make changes to their squad etc. to get FPN under the cap then it will show that what they did/said over the Wakey game wasn't a "Pile of Poo"? Well unless Wigan specifically say Player "X" has gone out on Dual Reg or Player "Y" has been sold to wherever to satisfy Salary Cap regulations then I won't be able to prove it.
That will be Wigan's decision if they word it that way - However I'm pretty sure "If" it happens then we can put 2+2 together and agree that's why they would have done it?
&
So Yes I am expecting adjustments to be made to the Squad given what the club have said previously
Re: Nuuausala Signs with immediate effect
The club assesses where it thinks it needs to improve and in relation to available players. The club bar a small contingency spends up to the cap limit.
FPN became available. Wigan signed him but the 1/2 year is minimal with Canberra subsidising it. An existing player (I presume a prop) will leave in the next year and another player (again I believe a prop) will leave the next year.
Wigan see FPN as a prop with the bonus he can play SR / LF too. I think versatility has become important to Wigan hich is why interest in eastmond makes sense N.B He will not be cheap though either.
The Tommy Lu Lu rumour I find scary.

DaveO. I wouldn't try and argue any point with jukesays, he still thinks that Rangi Chase has a severe dose of flu - hence his reason for not being at Leigh :sly: :eusa18:

Ps how's he doing at Hudds these days? I know why he's not being picked and I know he's been offered to 2 championship clubs on dual reg in the last 10 days.
Just found d what I actually said

Re: Nuuausala Signs with immediate effect
So as I said whatever "private and confidential" issue he had at that time couldn't be made public at risk of club/management being sued by injured party.
Whatever private and confidential issue he had couldn't be resolved and the club/management dealt with the issue and all now resolved with ranging free to clear up his private and Confidential issues.
As I said on the Brierley thread he was a bad Apple, also read what I said about there being 2 or 3 more issues that would get resolved and they have.
Seems a much happier camp

Back on topic
If when FPN plays ill hazard a guess alterations will have to be made to squad to accommodate.
If they don't then maybe Wigan were talking a load of poo
