The current state of affairs is finally showing why summer rugby doesn't work, RL is a winter sport played by naturally big blokes plodding through the mud, as is stated elsewhere athleticism is killing of the game, let's bin it all off and get back to how it should be, RL over crimbo, CC moved back to whee it should be, proper international tours with the Aussies and NZers, hot drinks and pies, lovely stuff, there was far less injuries to players back then than there is now, it ain't rocket science.

Probably due to the fact he himself feels he can't any longer play in every game, whilst Wane wants to protect and keep him as fresh as possible for the more relevant "big" games.
