We saw him on the big screen jump up & down & grab Lee Briers when Faz scored!
I missed that

You will be able to see it if you watch the game back 😊
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

We went early to pick up Huddersfield tickets and grab the coach and on the way back to the car to drop off some bits and bobs I noticed a chap getting ready to get out,in a moment of clarity that shocked me I thought to myself “thats Matty Peet”and sure enough it was,out of his car he came, handshakes all round, what a genuine guy he is,without hesitation gave us 5 mins of his time, doesn’t sound a lot but for me and the wife it was a real nice touch.

Regardless of what’s going on on the pitch it’s this sort of thing that goes a long way.

And yes he did smile and was funny with it too :D

Some good performances last night.

Smith- if he can keep kicking like that, he's a shoe-in for the team. Hopefully that can lead to less pressure on his shoulders. Very much improved performance and deserved MOM.

Thornley- a real centre.

Field- is just a terrific player. Massive signing by the Club to keep him for another 2 years.

He told me that he is very very happy here & enjoying being here 😊
Excellent to read that.

The coaching staff have been chosen or recruited and didn’t inherit the position like Lam did because a deal for another coach fell through. Lam was on a hiding to nothing, was always seen as a stop gap by many and didn’t have someone like Bries recruited to work alongside him. The coaching team seems to have gelled quickly which is great.

His persona in the dug out is the antithesis of who he is. I just think he’s cautious of showing his true feelings and/or is thinking how or what else can be improved on.

Watching the Faz try it was a superb offload from Mago & what a back up run from the ‘Ginger Pearl’ how could you not be excited watching that play out?

He has to concentrate on the game when the game is on: that is literally his job. He looks focussed on the job in hand when they show him during the game on TV. Neither happy nor sad, just focussed. I have been astonished at how coherently he has put the team together.
We have a recognisable - and thrilling - style of play, and a clearly motivated team.
It is worth comparing his progress with the coach opposite him, who has failed so far in every area that Peet has succeeded. And Powell has a very good track record in the game, and walked into a club with far more positivity than Peet faced.

Some people simply have a game face / work persona, I don't give a stuff if he doesn't come across like a false grinning cheshire cat so long as we keep playing like we do. I'm sure off camera he will be very different.

The smiling's supposed to be the job of the fans! Isn't that how it's meant to work? :D
