Sometimes I got the impression Noble was commenting as an observer of whatever poor performance had just happened rather than someone directly involved. It was as if he'd said what the team needed to do and when it didn't work out it was as if he was saying "well it wasn't my fault". Hard to express in plain text but something along those lines if you get my drift.

Yeah, it sometimes felt like he was passing the buck, I didn't like that and find it frustrating. Do you think this had an affect on the players' attitudes? I don't like to criticise Noble but there were times when Noble needed to do more than give generic excuses to the press/fans and deal with the problems that seemed quite evident.

No idea about that as we don't know what goes on behind the scenes.

As Two Eyed Warrior said he really hasn't stood up once and said he's going to sort things out. This is what I am driving at. He seems a bit detached from reality if I am being kind and that is probably a better way of describing it!

Noble does not have the players belief in the sense they do not believe in him as a coach and would not go that extra yard for him. They want to do well but Noble does not motivate them/inspire them to do so.

I hate the Cullen style cliches personally.

Noble as never been good enough for our club

and his Bradford style of play ( give it a forward then another forward) is not our way of playing

i stick to my view

i have never liked him and never will
Wigan is and always will be a town of Cherry & White

Although I will probably get berated for this, I read some of the posts on here and its like were a crisis club and playing for survival or something.

The team we have now is better than it was when he took over from agent Millward, I think that should be remembered. If you'd have said to me then in 2 years we'll finish third i'd have took it.

I hate the comment of "we deserve better" on these sites, why?? why do we deserve better? we have no god given right for success!

Have we improved on last year? Hard to tell, I would probably say not, but, nobody seems to paying any respect to the other teams, maybe they improving and getting better!!

I think its good to have a league where you can't turn a relagation threatened club into the best team in the league in 2 years. it shows the league is strong and the salery cap means you cannot buy success!

Saying that, and I hope I wrong here, i don't think Noble is the man to tke us to the next level, to put is i position we can actually compete with St helens and play to that standard week in week out. Hope I am wrong though.

Where does this come from? It is a bold definative statement. Could explain why players who have left that we thought should have been retained are now history. Please enlighten us with words of wisdom, CP

That doesn't mean they have bought sucess, it means they have just bought well and got a bloody good coach. They have not hand picked the best players from around the world, although they does have some good ones!!

we have bought
calderwood
higham
bailey
barret
fielden
feka
carmont
leuluai
all as internationals

plus pat nrl top try scorer
mathers

and we are still way way way off being a consistant top side, the stains bought success story, covers the truth

gardner signed from barrow as a kid
wilkin brought from hkr no one had heard of him
and you vcant really count sicknote in the list

stains do what wigan used to do spot plyers who compliment their team and stylr of play, we have spent years signing marque palyers to attract fans, gibe noble another year, then see how we go
There are 10 types of people, those who get binary and those who dont!
