I personally would like to see promotion within our own ranks. If it doesnt work out, it doesnt work out, but at least give them a chance.

so there you go it was never done and dusted so IL would have looked silly if any thing had been announced before and then it fell through.

But will he take the other Welshman with him. Sounded like a package deal from day one. It is one thing coaching to boost a nations interest but he has not served his apprenticeship at top level or in fact any management before coaching SL. Gives a break, We have excelent journeymen from the club with as much experience. I would give it to deacon before him on experience alone. Through injury Madge flunked it as a player. He does not have the years top flight. Brains count. He has that part. Jim

RE; Thomas I guess it depends if another high profile club are willing to meet the RFL's demands? Leeds? ; Widnes? less high profile but seeking to develop links with NWales, albeit the RFL seem to see Thomas as selling the game to S.Wales

Sounds suspiciously like something Bradford would entertain

Good call BM. To be honest I do not think he is very good, probably his age etc BUT he comes free and excluded from your cap (which IMO is totally wrong) if you are willing to play some games in SWales and send some of your best U18/U20's to South Wales Scorpions. Who knows though, the RFL change the goalposts constantly, it was only when the RFL started making more and more demands that we pulled the plug (at least that was the situation yesterday) Who knows tomorrow lol.

No one has ever suggested IL announce a player has signed before he actually did. The entire debate over Thomas was all about why on earth would we sign a player of his age etc.

The debate about Harris is again about the merits of him as assistant coach and if Wane is having him imposed on him or not. Harris going public just shows IL can't control all publicity.

The thing IL should have announced already IMO is Wane as coach because according to those in the know it really is done and dusted.
