Each team is coached to a specific game plan and the only thing that upsets the best laid plans of the coaches are the unforced errors, the lack of discipline, poor defensive reads and sloppy tackling. No matter how many "plans" Tony Smith or Brian McDermott have, neither can change a thing if his team makes a string of unforced errors etc. The only thing any coach can do differently is make sure his bench covers for any situation and swap those on field players around should they be struggling (for whatever reason) during gameplay
That is not correct. As others have pointed out teams do change tactics during games both on attack and defence.
But they are incorrect and you are making the same mistake. I stated game plan, not tactics. Wane has a plan and the team (for right or wrong) play to that. Simples. Now things change in game (as they always do then tactics are altered - BUT the game plan pretty much remains the same. You can't start playing "off the cuff" if that is not the teams style - yet you are agreeing with someone else's rubbish that is exactly what they do. No they don't. They move players around to try and make the plans they started with "work".
LMAO at people making claims teams change the way they play 2 - 3 - 4 times during every game. They do not - they simply change tactic. It is the "star" players like Sam and Briers and Burrows and Chase etc (and there are not many of them in the game) that bring the individuality (and hence flair) to any team

Tactics / game plan. I think we are getting hung up on semantics. If you want to call it a change of tactics that we have witnessed from the likes of Wire mid-game I don't mind. The points made still stand IMO.
As I said though the main issue will be if the plan, Plan A as it is often referred to, (and in the way you mean it) is the right plan whether the team can change it's tactics or not.

Australia coach Tim Sheens could take up a post in the Super League after the World Cup.
Sheens is keen to get back into club rugby but hopes to lead the Kangaroos to glory at Old Trafford in November before considering his options.
The 62-year-old, free of club commitments after his departure from Wests Tigers in September, said: "I've made it clear I will be looking to coach again, whether that's in Australia or England.
"I will have to see what might be available but all my focus at the moment is on preparing the national team. I don't want to take my eye off the ball."
Sheens was recently reappointed for a fifth-term in charge of Australia, as they look to regain the World Cup from New Zealand.

From a suggestion we should sign him to replace Wane next year - with the main thrust of this thread being Wane out sentiments.

This would be the same Shaun Wane who is coaching a team which will be top of the league if results go for us on Friday? Despite masses of injuries and the departure of a huge number of first team players in the last 2 off seasons?
