Probably due to the fact he himself feels he can't any longer play in every game, whilst Wane wants to protect and keep him as fresh as possible for the more relevant "big" games.
Our captain has to miss many games compared to older players than himself? Do you not think if Shaun Wane wants to protect our captain that he should have retired from international RL?
Players retire from international soccer, and that's understandable, but international RL matches are so few and far between that 'retiring' from them isn't really going to give a lot of respite to a ageing body, is it?

Agree with what? That Lockers should retire from international football? No, I don't. We shouldn't need him to beat Swinton anyway, and we sound to be doing OK without him.
