Team v HKR
Re: Team v HKR
That's the first part down with the magic Mikey show god knows what sky would have done if he was playing. Now for Welsby
Re: Team v HKR
Sky's coverage is poor, I agree. But I thought Lewis (like Liam Marshall, in fact) did they best he could with it in the circumstances.

He was definitely our best forward last night. 47 tackles with no misses and 116 yards made with the ball.

Byrne’s defence is first class hence the reason he has been selected as a starting prop, his go forward less so.Firestarter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 10:11 am A bit strange with Byrne. Not gonna lie im not his biggest fan and he really didnt seem interested to me.He was delaying getting back onside and seemed to be standing were he wouldnt receive the ball for a hit up.I wondered if he was injured then noticed him sprinting up and down the sideline after he was substituted.Odd one but i really think we have better prop options surely
Re: Team v HKR
Thought it was a fabulous game.
Also thought we got out of jail with the 2nd Joe Burgess try. Video ref made the right decision but was there really enough evidence to overturn the on field decision?
Either way, great showing from our lads.

Yes. More than enough.
Fortunately the Video ref was on the ball last night.

I think it's fair to say, the 'ball tip touching the turf' try (Miski), if it had been given against Wigan, we'd all be fuming. Going up as no try was absolutely reasonable. And if you looked hard enough and long enough (as Rush did!), yeah, he just about got it down. But touch and go.

And after all, it was only the iciing on the cake anyway. The game was won by then.

As has been said, Sam Walters had another very good game as is now firmly part of the match day 17.
After that display v HKR I think he'll be starting prop against Saints.
When he signed I thought it was a 2 year deal.
Perhaps we might hear about a new deal for him.

Why would you be fuming moto? You've just said it touched the ground and, to be honest, was clear as day on the view from the back.moto748 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 9:27 pm I think it's fair to say, the 'ball tip touching the turf' try (Miski), if it had been given against Wigan, we'd all be fuming. Smith got 2 try decisions wrong and gave the benefit on both to KR. I believe we also lost the penalty count 5-2 including them getting a penalty for exactly the same offense that he excused as "nothing in it" when it was against Nsemba. That shows, to me at least, that Wigan aren't getting a fair crack. It's the same every week.
