Briers plays well in front of a dominant pack - something that we won't get regularly enough with the Aussies/Kiwis. Also he is suspect defensively and you can bet that Mason et al would run at him all night.
He has a good kicking game, but does not offer the same threat ball in hand as McGuire or Burrow does.
