Just a Question!!!!

Why do coaches name their 20 man squads four days before a game?

Does every player in the team have to be medically checked over or something like that? Or do they have to have fitness tests AND be checked up by the doctor?

I just don't understand this. Could someone explain this please?

its probably an RFL thing...i know wihtt he football FA and premiership rules state that the squads have to be in the friday before a game at no later than 4 in the afternoon...

maybe the RFL have a similar ruling!

Just so people know whats what, along with the RFL. I think it makes no difference in training as there's more than 20 players training each week. Just used as a guide.

The rule was brought in after Mildred turned up at Bradford with his U21 side for a super league game, it was the same match that Longy and Gleeson bet on bradford to win.

After all the fuss, the RFL decided that coaches had to declare thier squads 4 days before the game that way everyone knew who would be available to play.
