Fielden- Waste of money.
Let's admit it people, he ain't done nothing all season. He's a complete waste of 500 grand. For the money of them two we could have kept Robinson, and Ashton, in replacement of two certain useless leeches.

When, and why, did Robinson leave?
Was Ashton worth in the region of 100k a year?
Fielden or not these two were never going to be kept on and in Robinsons case he had already left years before Fielden had even came to the club.

True, I can't use Robinson as an example. But he did get whacked out by a certain useless scrum-half. And as for your question on Ashton, he could have
been the next Radderz. He has potetial and we could have had a new star. Maybe not, but on a 50/50 chance (will he be great, will he not) the pay-off would be huge. We could have had two props for 500 grand who would do twice the work as fielden. A few years ago, when long and co were just emerging, saints went through a shakey patch. But they wern't sold in replacment for a has-been to rescue them for one season, and look where they are now. We just need some patiance.

Re: Fielden- Waste of money.
HERE HERE.........Fielden is crap....has shown no skill since coming to Wigan..overpaid and go back to Bradford !!!!
Re: Fielden- Waste of mone...
Id say he played well at Bradford aswell but im also going to say GET GONE! because he hasnt done nothing proper at wigan... i`d rather Logan from last year than fielden. We need a S**T house. Feilden dosent seem to play this way, neither does Feka
OOOOOO were the greatest club in the world!!!!
Re: Fielden- Waste of mone...
Hes struggling because of the lack of depth in the prop dept. He needs 2 more big props to continually run at the defence and tire them out. This is what happened at Bradford Vagana, Peacock would rotate.
With Filden almost playing 80min and defences continuouslly facing an impact prop and him he could find gaps run into them and do some damage.
Unless we get 2 big props and by the rumors it seems we will get them next season we should get the best out of him. Some games this season he has struggled.
Oh and the answer to the post. Of Waste of money. If we had not signed him last season wed have been playing Leigh and Widnes as it was his signing and Dobson that kept us up. If either had not come wed have gone down.
OR
Do people people forget things so easily. 500 thousand waste of money not a chance when it kept us up.

Re: Fielden- Waste of mone...
I've got to agree with Gimble, the Fielden signing seemed to galvanise the lads last year, and being in Super League is worth his signing fee alone.
That said, his form this year is atrocious - the bloke is well over 6ft and 17 stone and has literally no impact....none...
I appreciate he makes yards by pressing forward (when he isn't trying to "bounce and spin"!!), but when was the last time you saw Stu send someone flying / hurt someone?
I also agree with Bear....wee need a really agressive sh**house to fire us up...like a fozzard or Bailey.

Re: Fielden- Waste of mone...
He coundn't be a second row, he isn't fast enough and his passing ain't up the scratch. Besides, we have a decent second-row partnership already.
