Why does Hock and Leuluai not come in for criticism

Why does Hock and Leuluai not come in for the same stick as Ashton and O’Loughlin. I cannot work this out.
Hock gives away to many penalties goes missing yet he never gets any criticism.
Leuluai for me has been a complete waste of time and money he waits for Barrett to do everything yet he gets no criticism O’Loughlin and Ashton has a bad game and they get slated.
I am just as annoyed as everyone but we need to be fair with our comments

Vaealiki gives away penalties also but this year not a bad word is against him as he is a beast!
I agree there are scape goats... i suppose they are the obvious - outstanding - noticeable players we see... fullback and our captain etc..

Firstly neither were the captains arm band or are leaving the club to go to union .
As for Dv being a beast he is better than last year but nowhere near worth the money we pay him beast more lika a hard donkey

The players that generally get the most criticism are the players that are brought up/in with huge expectancy.
Hock probably often escapes the criticism because he was brought through with Lockers who was always tipped to be the next big thing. Although many predicted big things for Hock he was always slightly in O'Loughlin's shadow before they were brought into the 1st team.

cant agree with this thread- hock does not not go missing- he is a good second rower- he is just an idiot about giving away pens and he sometimes offloads when he shouldnt and vice-versa.
lulu is hit and miss and his kicking needs work- however think who had the 7 shirt beforte him? point proved.

Well we will see if you would still say this at the end of the season!!!!
Cos i certainly dont think he has been a waste of time or money!
I hope you are right but every game I see he seems happy to catch and pass and wait for Barrett to do something. He seldom takes the line on does not bring runners in and as for his kicking game it must be one of the worst in super league. His defence is okay at best.
Compare his game to Dobson last year Dobson was miles ahead of him. If only Dobson could have stayed what a great partnership that would be Dobson & Barrett.
He is a disappointment for me.

Lockers was being hailed by the Media, Eddie & Stevo + Many fans as being a Golden God/Messiah/The next big thing, we where promised he would be the man to replace the great one they called Faz, yet he hasn't lived up to all the hype, therefore i think he is mediocre at best, some blame his injury for his dip in form yet that was 2 year back, let's face it, many fans are blinkered because of who he is and also the fact he is Wigan born and bred. I can sum him up in 3 words "He is crap!!!" :sly:

I agree with this. Leuluai made a mistake going for the interception and breaking the line rather than tackling and preventing a try. I haven't seen him make many more mistakes though during the season :conf:
With Hock he does give away too many penalties but hes always been like that. I shouldn't say this but by the end of that game i would have been glad if he would have just thumped one of the Saints players!

No way! Apart from breaking the line on saturday, Leuluai has been brilliant. He does a lot in defence which no one takes notice of and some of his kicks are brilliant. Got to agree with Nobbys Girl that by the end of this season he will have definatley made an impact.

That is the gamble, if he had taken the intercept he would have been the best thing since the invention of the meat pie, however he never so he was the villain, at least he didn't knock on and laugh about it with a member of the opposition :exc:

Agreed but we're talking about what happened on Saturday and not what 'could have.'
