He's just showing himself as what he really is "Small Time" he'll never be anything to anyone outside of stains because he always bottles it as soon as he is on the big stage.

who wants some 1 in aus who will fly home as soon as something dosnt go his way,which team would he get in other there any way .Dont think he would make the u21s at some clubs,nothing against long as i dont think there are many over here that would

What he really is is the best scrum half of the Superleague era by a mile! He may be on the slide now but you can bet he will have signed a greatly reduced deal that allows Saints to hold onto someone who will still be a top performer at this level, maintaining the continuity that has been crucial to their succes whilst freeing up more salary cap. I hope our directors are taking note of how to properly run a club!

You've replied to your own comment. We rely on our players being less greedy when it comes to wage negotiations, after all, they have all rather under-performed for a while!
I doubt that Long would under-value himself for his (probably) last contract.
My work colleagues (Stains fans in Haydock) say that James Roby is on absolute peanuts at the club and that they will have to spend big in order to retain him for next year.
