im not sure on this, and im sure someone will correct me if im wrong, but league is obviously more popular in NSW and Queensland, Union is popular in the other states and ozzy rules is number 1 in Victoria.

However, the RU down under seem to have the same sort of financial backing as in the UK in that they poach players from RL.

there number 1 sport in aus is aussie rules number 2 league and 3 union..........
