South Stand trouble...

I think we are all aware with what went on in the South stand tonight as the game seemed to stop as supporters looked to the top of the south...
I couldn't see much as I was busy watching the gae but I saw some punches being thrown by a lad/steward.
I think the guy who got escorted out (eventually) was the same guy who was pissed up at Salford and who pissed into a beer cup on the terraces
absolutely dispickable behaviour and lets our supporters down. It's a small minority of fans but it is uncalled for. We have to control underage drinking on the terraces it does go on and it's uncontrollable at present. It spoils the game for all when people stand up in front of you to look whats going on behind.

All I saw was all the dayglo coats heading up - couldn't see why.

I was about 5 rows down from where it was going on & I must say it was quite scary. There's idiots most weeks who cause a bit of trouble and get set out. But I've never seen anything like that. From what I recall there were 3 lads in this fight... one was young steward who I saw with a bloody mouth, one lad had a shaven head, and the other - the one who got sent out & everyone was chanting 'bye bye' at - had a bloody nose. Not a clue what went on but the blokes behind me seemed to know the lad thrown out and said there was some problems and that the stewards didn't sort it in the right way.
Was a disgrace though. I saw a woman carry her young kid down and then come back up when it had settled. Poor kid musta been scared out of his wits.

You'll never be able to prevent trouble like that but its the way in which its handled that makes the difference.
I wasn't at the game but saw it on sky and luckily nothing was mentioned about it there. Although I did wonder why the yellow coat gang were sprinting down the side of the pitch at the same time one of the players was!
Anyway if its the same people then surely they will start to be singled out very soon?

I also think the young crowd steward wearing the baseball cap is not the ideal person to put amongst that group of supporters.

Far as I'm concerned there's no room for people in rugby league who want to turn up for a match and cause aggro for both speccies and stewards.
It should be zero tolerance, if you cause trouble you're barred for life from the ground.
Best to stamp the problem out now before it can escalate.
