Um, "it is thought Warriors have beaten Hull KR and Bradford Bulls to secure the player's services" means "but we're not really certain yet".

If he's on Â£250,000/year, are people going to start complaining he's also an expensive drain on the salary cap and will stop us recruiting other players to give strength in depth...?

don't forget, if vaealiki goes, fletcher, that's going to free up alot of money. calderwood may be going. millard may retire. withers will free some. ashton will.

It's very big money, but if Vaeliki, Fletcher, Calderwood all depart maybe that will balance it out (not that our books are balanced to begin with....)

King and Goulding as centres next year will do fine.

Although Calderwood, at least, will need to be replaced so some of that money will have to go back into rest of the squad, and another reserve centre to take over Goulding's role there.

If he plays well enough in SoO to up the paypacket in Oz he won't be coming. He has stated his wish is to stay in OZ but he must look to his financial future, Sounds like petro all over again. :sly: :conf:

yes HC I have also been wary that king maybe like other nrl players before using the threat of moving to superleague as a way of increasing there pay packet back in oz
