Scores two tries to help Hul FC beat Catalan tonight.

He is FC's best player this year I reckon.

Based on two tries against Catalans??!! IMO, Hull have been poor all season, so it doesn't say much for him if people think he has been there best performer.

No, based on what I have heard from Hull Fans on the RLFansite and outside.

To be fair Hull fans do reckon Tickle has been their best player and have no reason to be biased against their own players. Tickle has had a decent season in an average side (although not far behind us in the league!) I liked Tickle at Wigan at first but he was dire in his last season.

He was like so many, highly rated when we bought him from Halifax. Started brightly, with his Wigan career, then slowly faded into obscurity at the club.

If it wasn't for his goal kicking, he, IMO would have rarely played in the last season at the club.

You're probably right, he just seems much more committed this year. Do you think he had issues at Wigan we don't know about. I live in Hull btw so see them play a fair bit when I get chance.

It could be for any number of reasons. Different style of play, performance related contract/bonus etc. I have heard the "off-field" rumours, not too sure that they would simply disappear at a new club, but you never know.

He can't have been getting paid that well, I saw him in Asda just after he moved to Hull. He bought some 'Smart Price' plates and pans. Then got stopped by security on the way out cos the alarm went off :)

danny played most of the season with a damaged shoulder needing injections before most games.this with some off field problems caused his downturn in form
