Pretty much said what every Wigan fan has been saying for the last few years!

I particularly liked:
Dave Whelan said:
"It is fairly well known that certain clubs are doing things they shouldn't and getting away with it, but the RFL seem to think it is always Wigan who are the bad boys"
Be interesting to see the RFL's response!

It would be really good if Wigan took the RFL to court - any testing of the salary cap in a real court of law (as opposed to the kangaroo court at Red Hall) would surely see it exposed for the poor conceived pile of **** that it is. Hopefully after a bit of legal action the RFL might think about getting rid of some of the dimwits that pass as administrators!
"And Martin Offiah, trying to make some space, now then..." - Ray French, Wembley 1994

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

I hope he does. I like already mentioned presumed appeals etc would die now that ML is going and DW may sell. However, DW does not like being treated badly. He has an ongoing case with GM police so the likes of the RFL are hardly going to intimidate him.

Do we want RL to remain a sport or become just big business like football?

I am not naiave enough to think that you can live without the business side but there is a line. IMO big business has destroyed football, a sport I used to love. I don't want that happening to RL too.

You agree to rules, you stick to them, gentlemans agreement or legally binding contract, what's the difference? Honesty, integrity and respect for others is the only difference.

Wigan didn't go over the salary cap! Do you really think that evvery team in superleague are honest and are not hiding payments?
Wigan got done in 2005 for going over the cap in order to field a team. Was that against the spirit of the cap or just good for sport? Wigan didn't gain anything by it other than fielding a full, but still understrength side, but still got done. What does the RFL know about Honesty, integrity and respect?

So a gentlemans agreement and a legally binding contract are the same thing rob? Whatever is said is said but more or less pointless unless there is a law backing it legally. Look at Dietmar Hamman (sp?) who agreed to join Bolton Wanderers a few seasons ago verbally and with hand shakes... only later to sign for Man City with Bolton not moaning much about it (well, they did for 2 days then got on with the job)

If all 12 SL clubs agreed to double the points deductions then thats fine, but worthless if not made a law so Wigan havent done anything wrong... how can you break spirit without it [the law] being physcially evident?
