Reading this article made me laugh:

Taking injured players off the cap!
Increased revenue for a bottom of the league team! :conf:
A mid-season "NRL regular first grader" not expensive!
Not breached the cap!
I can see a 4 point deduction for Salford in NL1 next year...

Isnt this why Wigan went over the cap in 2005 because we had injuries ???????
They still counted on the cap then whats changed??

Injured players off the cap? You can deregister them now (for 20/20 purposes) but they still need paying, and that money counts on the cap!
Increased income? With crowds of 4k (except when we visit!)?
I think you're right.
Haven't read anything about these signings being cleared by the RFL, either - or does that only apply to one club?

I made that comment when Salford had their signing spree. Clearly they must be paying players in shirts buttons and lint

Reading the Salford Advertiser today interesting comments made by Steve Simms he writes I can assure fans that we have not breached our salarey cap.
As extra income comes into the club you can spend more money under the salary cap system, and the four players we have brought in are not expensive players.
We have been able to take injured players of the salary cap and put the new players on it so there are no problems there whatsoever?
Is this within the spirt of the salary cap! or have they forgot that wigan we adjudged to be in breach in 2005 for taking off players who where injured? and found guilty.
Interesting what does the forum think? :sly:

Would they be bound by SL deduction rules in NL?
