Heard on the grapevine this kid is desperate to play for Wigan but has been advised that he will not be paid anything near what he is worth at wigan.
Harlequins a very interested in him... It looks as though the regime of selling off our best prospect carries on.

He is hardly the best prospect and he is not worth a lot as he has done nothing apart from play for the academy. He is not even close to pushing for a first team spot.

Yeah I'm sure there are hundreds of young lads desperate to play for Wigan.

He may be desperate to play for Wigan, but he's also desperately small.
It's difficult to picture him in a first team shirt.

I'd love to be proved wrong. But you haven't done it.
Comparing him with other players of short stature is meaningless. Alan Langer was also short, but Stanton ain't Langer. Andy Greg was short, but he ain't Greg either.
The lad's got bags of heart, but if we're now talking about "yet another superb youngster who Wigan let go" then you won't get any support from me.
He's highly promising, and if he'd accept a reasonable salary then I'd keep him on. But Andy Clark needs to be told forcefully that, in the age of the salary cap, not all his players are worth ridiculous money.
