I have read on an irish tabloid that Brian Carney is about to join rugby union with an irish provence can anyone shed some light on this issue

if you read the interview on wigan-warriors home page, it says he has turned down a move to irish rugby union.

Only if he's totally changed from an interview in the last couple of weeks saying he's happy to stay at Wigan until the end of his contract in 2005.

I'm sure the Irish rah-rahs would like him given their lack of success in the recent world cup, but I don't think you need to worry.

It's probably another Brian Carney, there must be at least one person with the same name in the world.
