Paul reilly

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Would be a superb purchase for this club, he is a well solid fullback who isn't afraid to mix things up, he a bit of a flyer as well, bet we could get him as cover for peanuts, thoughts anyone

The biggest Room is the Room for improvement.

The best form of defence is attack!!

So he has the experience, but he is hardly a long term prospect, even if he is being considered.

That's the first reason why we shouldn't go anywhere near him.

The second is that, if a club like Huddersfield have decided he isn't good enough for them any more, then he definitely isn't good enough for a club like Wigan.

Don't wish to sound pompous about this, but our next batch of recruits have GOT to be improvements on what we've had before.

No more cast-offs or retirees.

The new owners have got it all to do. If they don't both surprise and please us with their new signings, we'll rightly assume it's the same old same old, and maybe our attendances will finally start to dwindle.

So no Paul Reillys, no Henry Faafilis, no Brent Groses. Pleeeeeze.

Reilly would not be a good signing, Wigan need to be looking for a long term replacement at full back someone who will be there for at least 5 years. Changing the full back every year will not help the squad.

Just because a player has been released by one club doesn't mean he is not good enough for another, its all about buying the right players to suit the team. Wigan have tried to buy 'superstars' for every position and it didn't work.

The one benefit of Paul Reilly is at least he is English.

But who is coming through the ranks, Ashton's gone, so we have to find a new FB, what happens if our new FB picks up a 6 or 7 game injury, who steps in, Richards, then we lose Richards attack on the wing, buy Reilly as back up on the cheap, then we have some real FB cover until someone else can be brought up through the ranks

Reilly was retiring last season and only stayed on to play on the wing where is not under as much pressure.
