However it's clear we're going to have a problem at full-back if we don't act soon.
I hope I am wrong but I have a feeling Richards will be our FB next season.
I have not been impressed with any of the players we have been linked with this past couple of weeks as our potential FB :- Briscoe, Hodgeson or Fitzpatrick.
However its getting to the stage I'd take any of them just so as to see Richards back on the wing where I think he is far more effect for our attack.

My feelings too.
But if nothing else, at least Fitzpatrick is a specialist full-back, and before his injury, he was pretty effective for Salford. He can also score tries, and at present we need all the try-scorers we can get.
I think we could do a lot worse (and before anyone says it, yes, we could probably also do better - but a present I don't see how).

None of the people currently under discussion are anywhere near as bad as Doc Murray.

Whats happened to the Simon Grix (Widnes) and Ben Cockayne (Hull KR) rumours?
Have not heard anything - however if Briscoe is going to KR next year then it leaves Cockayne with an uncertain future...

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?
Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

Even though I would rather Richards play on the wing I would have him at full back before see eclair or cockain or that Widnes lad playing for us Fitzy would just about be ok with the addition of a top center ,prop plus Walker.
Im not so sure about Fitzpatrick but if he wants to play for Wigan he is welcome this is what Wigan have lacked a player who actually wants to play for Wigan and not the wage ala Fielden.
Ive said in the past that if we want to win something we need to be looking higher up the wage bracket than Fitzpatrick as its such an important position, But then i look at Platt at Bradford and he is very, very solid and scores trys and in the same mould as Fitzpatrick, Signing Platt would have raised a few eyebrows if Wigan would have gone for him last season but i think he has won alot of fans over at Bradford.
He wont be on a massive wage so maybe Fitzpatrick is the player we need?
