Chev Walker would be yet another poor signing for Wigan, Noble likes to have big players and Chev is quite big for a centre but he can't even catch or pass which isn't good for a centre.
he's been 'playing' rugby union for a whole year! we've hardly seen him touch the ball! and as a League player i remember him being more of a Argy Bargy type with an offload on him but i don't remember much about him to be honest

Great player I think. He's got a good eye for a gap and a good hand-off and offload. I know Chev a little and can't imagine him getting along with Rah Rah players at Ba'ath (the original not the Socialist Arabs).

great response :)

Anyone see faz have a little run in the kick and clap? There were about 5 minutes left and it was the first time anyone had run more than 10 metres in the entire game. The flight of the ball as it gets kicked back and forth is amazing, I'm dead surprised the ball doesn't get confused every now and again and start spinning the other way.

Wigan aren't signing fitzpatrick.

Walker is a done deal correct.

And I'm unsure about Carvell , but I don't think we're bringing an english prop it's from what I heard more like an aussie.

It's amazing isn't it? We have been absolute rubbish for what seems like ages now. Nearly got relegated last year, cannot string more than three wins in a row this, well over the salary cap to boot, and people are spouting off that "such and such" players are not "good enough"

Honestly you couldn't make it up. Probably the same ones moaning about "such and such" signing for us, were the same ones intimating an extension for DV!

Sometimes the mentality of a large amount of our fans amazes me, certain names get mentioned and all of a sudden these players are not good enough or not the Wigan standard and then one of these players gets snapped up by Stains/Bulls/Rhinos andprove to be a decent signing sometimes it beggars belief, if we had been looking to sign players that are Wigan standard, Salford would be staying up. These people need get their heads out of the clouds, surely 3 or 4 average squad players are better than 1 superstar on the same amount of money, i though it was a shame that Jordan James got released, he was an enthusiastic player, scored some trys, wasn't a game breaker but from what i have seen so far, he is far better qaulity than Danny Hill.

A Widnes fan at my works raves over Olly Wilkes, claims that he has put "mass on" since signing for them, and has been very effective for them. Rates James too, though not as highly. Maybe, if we had kept them a little longer and put them through a rigorous pre-season training, we may have seen better from them than we did. At least more from them as a first team perspective than Hill and Flanagan!
