Chev Walker would be yet another poor signing for Wigan, Noble likes to have big players and Chev is quite big for a centre but he can't even catch or pass which isn't good for a centre.
how many tries did callderwood score at leeds feeding off him??????
That just doesn't make sense. If it did, no player in SL would be on more than, say, £50k.
The problem is not that we have too many "stars", but that those stars, except for Barrett, haven't performed well enough to justify their high wages.
if we bought 4 decent squad players on £30k grand each, this would be a better buy than one superstar on £120k (should of used decent instead of average)
But you don't get a decent squad player for £30k; if you did everybody would want them (and their price would go up).
The average wage in SL is around £60k (cap limit shared equally amongst the squad).
In other words, your £120k would buy you two average players.
In theory yes, you could have a squad of 20 average players (on £60k each), with the rest making up your first team (under £25k) numbers and two Academy teams), but I can't think of any teams in SL that go down that route (except perhaps Salford, & HKR beffore Cooke arrived).
