I suspect that was a wind-up.

its a definate wind up. one of the lads i play with is very good mates of chev's and he signed a while ago and was even going to play in semi against catalans. dont know why he didnt but he is definatly definatly a wigan player.

But don't worry, because according to the WEP today, 'Maurice is still scheming'.

according to the observer (i think) it said because walker had 2yrs left on his bath contract they were demanding a fee for him! maybe thats why its been dragging on a while?

I'm not at all convinced it is a p122take.

What I said earlier on about a 'wind-up' was misconstrued. I said it was a wind-up about Chris Walker, not Chev Walker.

For what it's worth, the Hull KR fans are convinced they've got Chev Walker and that it'll be announced at a press conference tomorrow. This also appeared on Sky Sports earlier today - Hull KR sign Chev Walker on 3-year-deal, though it only appeared once, was withdrawn and hasn't appeared again since (to my knowledge).

Who knows, perhaps Wigan are still in there fighting for him. But the Rovers fans sound very confident.
