BBC

Post by warrior »

hi all.
was any1 out there just as unlucky as i was not to get to the match today but had to settle for the poor coverage on the bbc.
well what can i say, martin offiah didnt even know the proper names of most of the wigan team and going to replays at key moments just spoilt the action.
and the final insult was to have a horse racing presenter, presenting the game who obviously had a lack of knoledge for the game.
i dont mean to moan but is it any wonder why people have sky nowadays. much rather listen to eddie + stevo.
as for the game bit of a slow start but the young lads did us proud in the end. onwards n upwards.

me,girlfriend an her parents never went to watch them, we stayed at home. Because went are going out for a meal at 4.15, so we wouldnt have time.

It was alright, but not the best. It was watchable.
It is alot better on sky. Even better watching it at JJB.
I agree with you anyway.

I agree totally about bbc coverage - it's rubbish - they miss half the game showing replays and the camera angles aren't a patch on sky - love em or hate em stevo and eddie at least know what they are on about and make tv coverage much better watching :-) :eh:

Even at the game they screen was rubbish compared to SKY's. You couldn't see anything of the replays, very poor quality. Watching BBC's coverage now, prefer Eddie and Stevo but it fills in gaps from being there.

I think it underlines what a good job Sky has done since it started its coverage all those years ago. The BBC just don't seem to have a clue, it was summed up by their opening graphic...after going on about the two O'Neil's on the same team they showed "Jules" O'Neil complete with identical photo playing at number 6 AND at number 10

NO certainly do not agree about Clare Balding, she already knows more about RL than Ray French and she always comes over as a keen and eager supporter of RL.
I can remember her saying she had been a paying member of the public crowd at the GB v OZ match at Brentford last October.

I'd agree with that, she always comes across as the only BBC person in recent memory who isn't totally patronising and who thinks the RL is just something to fill in some time before the football results. I didn't see any of the game yesterday either live or on TV due to work commitments, but is Ray French still on the Beeb, or have they finally pensioned him off?

the bbc coverage is crap. u got ray french who hates wigan n i cant stand that jonathen davis (union) eddie n stevo rule even though eddies a scouser. if a match is on the bbc like wakefield v salford example and its not edge of your seat stuff i actually get bored n am tempted to change the channel. did u watch the higlights on sky i hope eddie n stevo live 4 eva coz phil clarke n bill arthur havnt got a clue.
