Back in those days at centre Richards was our top try scorer
Back in those days we were crap and had Moran. So those days should not be looked at with a great deal of satisfaftion. :conf:

No he wasn't. He played the first 10 or so games at centre, in which he scored 5 tries. Then Rads arrived, and our centres were usually Rads & McAvoy (and occasionally Goulding).

The rest of his 18 tries were scored from the wing (approximately 13 tries in 14 games).

Perhaps more tellingly, Calderwood didn't score a single try with Richards as his centre. Even DV was setting Dallas up with a few.

Just seen this morning that Mathers has been released by Gold Coast and is interested in joining Wigan.

I don't think Mathers is the right signing for Wigan his defence is woeful which was a big complaint about Chris Ashton from Wigan fans. They might as well stick a turnstile at full back because it would let less people through.

Perhaps; my feeling is that if good enough for an Aussie side to want him, he'll do for me. I think he's (was?) the only Brit playing in the NRL?
