Price and Carmont

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

No he's right .....Peter Cusack
DOB: 27/1/77
Height: 193cm
Weight: 105kg
NRL games: 167
Rep honours: Country Origin 2004, 2007
One of the toughest players in the game and never shirks the hard work in defence or in attack. The Country Origin representative provided the Rabbitohs front-row with tremendous balance and strength alongside Asotasi. Getting better and better with age, Cusack loves leading from the front.

surely not two new centres are needed - not with mathers having signed.
what about the prop Hull are after - cusack - any chance we can make a grab for him or too expensive - would have though he would be out of our reach
Lenegan has said we're not looking to sign any more props so you can rule that one out now.

The thing is though if we signed Karl Pryce and George Carmont we haven't just signed 2 centres , we've signed 2 utility players which is what Lenegan said he wanted.

With a relatively small squad short on numbers it would make sense to sign:

George Carmont - Wing and Centre

Karl Pryce - Fullback Wing and Centre

Especially since Calderwood and Mathers will miss the first few games of the season so our backline would look something like this:

Richards
Pryce
Carmont
Bailey/Goulding
Colbon.

Also signing 2 centres would give Bailey chance to move to the second row.

Although I can't see it happening personally , it would be a great piece of business if Lenegan did manage to sign these two.[/quote]
i agree

Were have you heard Calderwood will miss the beginning of next season? Considering he broke his ankle at the end of Sept 07 and the new season starts in Feb 08, I would of thought this was ample time for recovery? Not so sure about Mathers, when is he expected to be fit?

Why? Are they afraid of losing their place to him?

Do any of them even know him?
