And to think a few people on here said we should have signed him?, what a lucky escape that was.
Really bad luck for the lad though.

That must be a mental blow as well as a physical one... To train hard all winter come back in a freindly and miss near enough the whole season

Just the way the game goes sometimes.
I read on Teletext that Chev Walker is also struggling with a hamstring strain for the start of the season - he was another linked with Wigan too! Maybe it's better to sign players currently recuperating rather than players that would be overtly trying to make a good impression for their new employers.
