KR v Leeds

Post by pedro »

Oh my god never seen such a poor display from a referee in years. The guy should be demoted and the Bailey double movement (first one) the ref was nearly stood on him. Big time kop out. Has no back bone and under his pink jersey think I saw a Leeds one underneath.

Pathetic!!

Leeds seemed to be grappling a lot

Good hard game. KR unlucky. Not keen on Leeds very condensed defensive line. Chev Walker seems even bigger than his last stint. Might need to shed a few £s Like Clint Newton

several comments (from stevo, other posters on other sites) reckon he had a good game, kept it nice and flowing.....

....only by letting quite a lot go especially in the first half. Quite a few high shots, grapples, hands in at play the ball etc were ignored.

oh and someone obviously forgot to tell the touch judges that they should have been ensuring teams were on side i.e. both feet in line with ref / on goal line.

I do not remember Leeds grappling last season but on numerous occasions v KR the arm was locking the throat/neck of a KR player.

I watched the 1st half of the game on DVD last night and I have got to say, I wasn't that impressed with Silverwood.

He looked a bit rusty on the grapple/throttle tackles. A couple of head high shots/swinging arms missed as well.

It's early days though guys!!!  :D :D

What did people think of Leeds?

They look quite happy to play downright ugly and win rather than entertain.

It was a hard opening game played in poor conditions. I'd expect the type of game that we saw.

Webster looks like the player I remember seeing, it's a pitty we didnt show an interest when he was.
