Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Champagne Shontayne

Would love to see this guy at the jjb next season in a wigan shirt...

he is out of contract at the end of 2008 and says he would consider moving codes but also says on the sky sports website he will make the decision which is right for his family....

do we think he would come to wigan next year, because we all know that noble really likes him....

Funnily enough. On page 359 on BBC teletext, there is a fan mocking the amount of passes that "Big Les" will receive from his centre partner in the next 6 Nations match. He suggests that he returns "home" where he would see much more ball and enjoy himself more.

My thought were that they would do much better to sign Shontayne Hape. Then what do I read....

 I suppose it had to come, seeing as he could play for England AND is also a mate of the "Volcano" plus out of contract

What I find most depressing about Hape's highly likely defection to RU is how fans on one of the Bradford forums, presumably out of misguided loyalty to the salary cap, are trying to rationalise it.

"He's crocked," they say. Is he? Presumably the RU medical will have the final say on that.
"He's finished," they say. Is he? He's actually only 26.
"We don't need him," they say. Don't they? I don't see who they've got in the ranks who can replace him.
"We need the money," they say. Will they get it? Unlikely, as he's out of contract at the end of this season, and anyway, even if they do, Hape's transfer fee is hardly going to offset the £2 million settlement that Leeds are allegedly seeking over Harris.

I despair of RL sometimes. So many of us seem to be living in the land of the Emperor's New Clothes. One of these days, a top RL player will defect to RU and someone in a position of power will jump up and say: "Hang on, we can't afford to lose any more of these guys! For God's sake lets do something about this!"

But I'm not holding my breath.

I wouldn't, hes a great big fairy. And we have Carmont for the next two years, with Pryce in the other centre spot, it would make him an expensive sand bucket man

and lets face it Hape isnt fit to lace carmonts boots!

give me strength, hape is one of the best centres in the league when fit, but thats the problem the guy has had at least two knee reconstuctions and other long term injusy layoffs.

We were all wetting ourselves a couple of seasons ago when rumours were he was joining wigan now hes pants?

personally sad to see him leave the game, but at 27 go to rah rah and have an easier lfe, less games, less effort the same if not more money. I know I would (and if your honest most of you would too)!
