Ruben Wiki to play in SL

Post by butt monkey »

Ruben Wiki has announced that this is to be his last season in the NRL and is expecting his agent to fly over to this country in the next week to talk to three "interested " clubs.

One time would have welcomed him at Wigan, but at his burgeoning years, he would be a gamble now.

Crickey lets hope were not in for him.

Our props(Court cases pending) should be sorted for the next 3-5 years with Fielden, Coley, Feka and the vastly improved Paul Prescott aswell as O'Carroll and a couple of other youngsters.

If he wants to fullfil his life long ambition of playing in superleague for a new challenge then offer him £20K a season to come here?

:hmmm: I can see him replacing Paul Rauhihi at Warrington. I think he's been quoted as saying that this is his last season.

BUT, he definitely would fit in with "Dad's Army" down at Knowsley Road

he would be 36 by the start of next season, thats just the type of youth policy Uncle Mo would have had.

Mo was in charge when we signed Coley, Barrett, Calderwood, Fielden, Richards, Bailey, Higham, Feka, Hock, Lockers, Hansen, Goulding, Mcillorum and a host of other players on the fringes of the first team.

Bar Mathers and Carmont (I think) he signed the rest of the first 17 at Quins either as senior pros or juniors.

Mo wasn't perfect but may God to suggest he'd be in fir a 36 year old as if this was what he normally did is stretechting it a bit.
