Rd1 and referee inconsistency already

Post by cpwigan »

Warrington forward Steve Pickersgill, who was placed on report during his side's 32-20 win over Hull, has also been charged with a reckless high tackle on full-back Motu Tony.

A RECKLESS HIGH TACKLE THAT THE REFEREE ONLY AWARDED A PENALTY FOR

Catalans prop David Ferriol, who was sin-binned and put on report in the same game for an alleged high tackle on Castleford stand-off Anthony Thackeray, was told he will not face a charge.

A HIGH SHOT THAT WAS MUCH LESS SEVERE THAN PICKERSGILL YET HE WAS SIN BINNED IN THE MATCH FOR IT AND RIGHTLY NOT PUNISHED AFTERWARDS.

I do like the extra explanations that the RFL are now publicising, though.
