Thaler, Wakefield, He awarded the most farcical penalty try you are ever likely to see.

As mentioned, Ganson being VR at his hometown club, firstly giving a controversial no try decision against Wigan and then giving a try to Wellens when he was clearly short.

I agree with you that the refs did us no favours. However we were beat for several reasons. These are not in any particular order but they are as folows:-
1]Our pack was out musceled and out played by the part time props at St Helens
2]We gave away to many panalties through shear stupidity, the ones for lying on were very hard to accept. But the offside ones were even more stupid we try to gain a yard and give away 20 following a penalty
3]Our play the ball following a Saints tackle must rank the slowest in super league
4]WE WERE OUT-ENTHUSED AT EVERY MINUTE OF THE GAME. When we were walking back from a score or forming a scrum you could be forgiven for thinking it was us that was in the lead and we were trying to run the clock down
5]POOR DEFENCE We must of missed more tackles than an under 10 amature Sunday league team.
I could go on but I won't because my hearts breaking

Always had the VR situation... and being a home-town ref doesnt mean you support the club. Who'd support Wakefield?
