Gaz has been summoned to appear before the disciplinary panel charged with striking an opponent with his arm and punching

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Gaz Hock
Guilty and a suspension and/or fine
Re: Gaz Hock
I do hate the fact that punching your opponent is now treated as no go. Fans enjoy a bit of biff.

Re: Gaz Hock
What's your point Gemma? You should be allowed to freely assault people becuase it happens to take place on a rugby pitch??
I was recently in casualty with my wife who broke her ankle. A young amateur player had broken his jaw snap in the middle and had it dangling 2 inches below his normal place. Apparently he got a blatant elbow in the tackle. This was three weeks after he'd had 12 months off work with a knee reconstruction and had to live off £96 a week for a year. Accidents are bad enough without dirty stuff.
Never mind. We all like a fight. Bring back the biff.

Trust me players seriously hurt by fighting in an on field punch up are as rare as rocking horse poop. Actually, the most common injury are broken bones in the hand because most rugby players do not know how to punch. Biff is one of the safer activities on a rugby pitch.

I just don't understand some on here. First of all they moan about certain players "giving" penalties away. Then say "let's add some biff" 'cos it's OK and entertaining! :eusa17:
