Code XIII: Remembering Eric Ashton -Wednesday 7pm
Posted: Wed May 14, 2008 2:19 pm
Channel M's weekly show, Code XIII will tonight focus on Wigan legend Eric Ashton.
The game has been in mourning since Eric's death in March, and the programme takes the opportunity to reminisce and celebrate one of the most glittering Rugby League careers both on and off the field of play.
From joining Wigan for £150 in 1955 to his devastating three quarter partnership, and success on the International stage, Code XIII: Remembering Eric Ashton hears from those closest to the man who broke the mould and became the first Rugby League player to be honoured for his achievements with an MBE.
Channel M is available free to air in Manchester channel 39, on Virgin Media channel 878 in the Greater Manchester area (former NTL areas only), and nationally on Sky channel 203. For more information visit www.channelm.co.uk and follow the link for Code XIII.
