ROVERS coach Justin Morgan admitted watching Whitehaven scrum-half Gregg McNally but he's not planning an immediate swoop.
Teenager McNally has been linked with Hull KR and Hull FC and he is one of a dozen players who Morgan has his eye on for the future.
Morgan told the Mail he is an admirer of the 17-year-old, but said: "Gregg is one of a dozen players in the National League that we are looking at."
Hull coach Richard Agar denied making an enquiry for the talented teen, who score a hat-rick in a win over Salford last week.
Agar added: "Obviously the young lad played well in the game last week, but to say we have made enquiries about his availability is a complete exaggeration."
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
