The Attendance / Attendances in general?

Is it me or has the RFL lost its impetus somehow as regards attendances. I thought the Leeds turnout was less than the norm of say the last few seasons and we did not fill out as much as I thought.

Holiday season? Fridays? Televised matches?

IMO Leeds never travel in numbers with the potential they have. Hull KR brought more fans. Something has to happen to meet Lenegans idyll of 20,000 average.

14,911 against Leeds... similar to other years. The fact is, we take more to Leeds then they do to Wigan. Say they brought 1,000 fans, Wigan must have sold around 3,500 tickets (non-season) for Leeds especially. That is poor. It's easy to get from Leeds > Wigan friday night than wigan > leeds.

who knows

I've not been paying any attention to other clubs' attendances, but I'm pretty sure ours are down on last year, up to now - yet I feel our travelling support is as strong as ever.

Tonight's performance might help bring back some of our "casual" support.

I suspect we won't even fill the JJB for the Saints game, which would be disappointing.

Leeds are weird. They turn up in their 000's at home but as already said away they are poor.

With regards to our attendance several factors we had saints Wire 2 times Wire first game up ,last year we had signed a super star in Barrett and people wanted to see him play .
This year poor inconsistent performances and the fact we have had a break in home games for the pitch also we have not as many big games the pre season signings are not of the same standard .
So unless you look at like for like you can not judge most teams would swap us I guess

After 8 home matches our aggregate attendance is 116236 compared to 121853 last year after substituting Cas for Salford. The attendance last night was actually above last years Leeds attendance of 14544 but I should remember that I am no longer an accountant with a fixation for numbers :exc: :D :exc:

They are a "Champion" side in virtually everything apart from away support.

Not really sure what your point is, the Churchill Cup is a cup for nobodies in rugby union filled by British 'A' side and Canada + USA.
