Former Wigan forward Quentin Pongia has signed as a
Rehabilitation officer for 2009 for the Green Machine, and will also double as the Toyota Cup Strength and Conditioning Coach
Pongia returns to Canberra with plenty of credentials, and has spent the past few years under the tutelage of Frank Endacott at English club Widnes, studying long and hard to obtain his goal of returning to the NRL.

Raiders CEO Don Furner said it was great for the culture of the club to have Pongia on board from next year, and the club was definitely moving in the right direction.

"To have Quentin on the coaching staff next year gives the Raiders another experienced member of what is shaping up as a great coaching team," Furner said. "There's no doubt he will be brining fresh and new ideas to the club which will be encouraging for the players going forward."

Given that IL stated Mike Forshaw has too much to do on his own, surely we are looking to strengthen that department. This begs the question, why didn't we get him?
He was at the Wakefield game last week, and the thought crossed my mind then that maybe he was going to join the backroom team.
