Thank you to the Stobart staff
Apart from a bit of confusion at the end when they didn't open the side gates, thought we were made very welcome tonight.
Found the stewards to be very polite and accomodating.
They even let me across at the corner so I could geve Nobby's Girl a hug.
Thanks for the use of the stadium and good luck for the future.
Can we play there, can we play there, can we play there every week, can we play there every week

Yes very good staff at the Halton,
Stewards did a good job and I would play there every week.

Re: Thank you to the Stobart s...
I have to disagree!
Official crowd of less than 7,000 and within 50 feet, I witnessed 2 instances of young lads being removed from their seats by the stewards for no reason obvious to me or the people surrounding me. For one of them, two Police Officers were involved. How many Police Officers have you ever seen inside JJB Stadium on a match night?(football excluded!)
Anyone remember the sign in Bluto's "YOUTHFUL INDISCRETIONS ARE ALLOWED ON THESE PREMISES!"
Thankfully, both lads were allowed to return, presumably after a 'good talking to', but for me, it put a black mark on what was otherwise A BLOODY GOOD NIGHT!!!
Seriously, Widnes need to address this because they are the ones who obviously feel that a police presence is required at their ground!

I would like to thank the staff and Widnes Vikings for their hospitality. I've always like going to Widnes and have always enjoyed it there.
Good Luck in the future and hope to see you in Super League soon
Well done to all the fans who did make the effort to the stadium into cherry & white.
Come on the Wire

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Brilliant little stadium nothing fancy stewards that i saw were friendly ,bitter was 40p cheaper than JJB atmosphere was buzzing Wigan win what more do you want .
IL build us a stadium along the lines of Hobart Stadium [a bit bigger]it has no fancy roofs would be cheap to build [against the likes of JJB] .Seating on both sides standing behind the sticks a good atmosphere created with no empty spaces and fans packed in one side.

Well thankyou for them smiles! (drum was with me but with fitzy in the second half because i believe in lucky omens and we scored when he had the drum!)Nobby`s Girl wrote:Same hear...Iv said it before and ill say it again, i really like visiting the Widnes ground, always a great atmosphere, great game, never any trouble which makes it an enjoyable night. Was expecting the west to be a bit quiet but when a drum turned up, the smiles were beaming!
Brilliant game and brilliant result. Players really enjoyed playing with the loud atmosphere behind them, even said it was louder than being at home!
So we did ourselfs proud and our team proud..
Not sure how you got around the Stuard AtoB, must have been sweet talk lol
I am definately one who prefers to be behind the sticks at the game and it was quite a good atmosphere in the west stand, especially the second half with the incredible anti whelan song starting!
Staff at halton stadium where great, and so where the widnes fans who came to watch!

Re: Thank you to the Stobart s...
Yes I entirely agree. Brill Night Brill atmosphere.
Good work from all Stobart staff, all very helpful from when we arrived until leaving.
I agree its a very nice ground, and I hope they soon up with us in Superleague.
thought as fans we were all very together tonight something that we don't seem to do a lot a our stadium.
My friend turned to me and asked why can't we have a similar stadium for our club in wigan.
(too complex i know, but you know what she means.)
Come on you wolves.

we have the police there at Hull games apart from that we dont because Whelan will not pay the bill. Every other ru8gby ground has police on also.Kittwazzer wrote:I have to disagree!

Was laods of drunken young lads near me also but the stewards kept having words and they were sorted.
