Bradford's Fijiian winger Semi Tadulala has been cleared to play in the World Cup after avoiding suspension when he appeared before the Rugby Football League's disciplinary panel.

The former Melbourne and Wakefield player was put on report for a high tackle on Wigan threequarter Cameron Phelps during the Bulls' 30-14 play-off defeat last Friday.

The panel found him guilty of a careless tackle and fined him £500.

Any suspension would have counted towards the World Cup, in which Fiji play group matches against France and Scotland.

Tadulala, who has scored 23 tries in his first season at Odsal since joining from them from Wakefield, is out of contract but expected to sign a new deal.

RFL consistency at it's best yet again. McIlorum got a two match bad as well as the red card not too long ago, and Tadulala gets a £500 fine, no ban, no red card, for a tackle that was as bad if not worse. It's a joke.

I agree, but this whole 'reporting' system is a nonsense. If a player commits a sending off offense, the team he has committed it against should feel the benefit. Not the teams he is due to play in future weeks!

Now your all forgetting rule B. He's not a wigan player therefore does not need a ban.
Also he probably did not get banned as he is due to play for fiji or someone in world cup.
But it not right.
