In tonights paper it says that the Enforcer /Captain that we are chasing is a cast off from Salford.
Yes you have guessed its Haggety. Is Lenagan trying to stop all season ticket sales?
He states that the purse strings are tight, so where is the money from Barret/Higham/Calderwood etc etc?
We are becoming a laughing stock & I am becoming really worried about the future of Wigan Rugby Club.

I have seen Haggerty play a lot this year, and he has been largely superb. Some players can do a job without having a fabulous reputation - look at Fozzard at Saints say, from whom they got some excellent performances. My issue with Haggerty is not that he isn't good (because he is) but that he is not really a prop, rather like Coley, as he isn't quite big enough.
If we signed Mccarthy-Scarisbrook, though, the we would have a brilliant prop.

I would have to disagree. Neil Baynes is better.

CP what the hell is happening at Wigan, its becoming pathetic. Even the Latics supporters are taking the P---S here on a daily basis. I am a share holder of Wigan RL and I will see if I can get a balance sheet to see the situation. Or maybe see if Company House has any inforation.

Great season, would fit in and another player slagged before he is even confirmed. Send it to the rumour mill? It is time players played before they get slated. It is tedious.
We can only pick from those available. Pity someone did not publish an out of contract list. Less one they have to be home grown tallent.

We have seen him play, and he is not the enforcer that the pack needs. He is really another second row forward, not a prop. What realy worries me is that the spectators are begining to be happy with this type of player, when other top teams buy Rhyles/ Carvel/ Morley etc.

According to Quins he is 6ft 3 and over 19 stone, I don't see many props calling him 'Tiddler'..

I wish I knew

Remember the yearly debate about ending promotion/relegation. The promoted clubs always stated that by the time they were promoted all the best players had been snapped up. Well at this stage I keep thinking who is left?

The way I see it the club is virtually run without management. IL is in a position whereby he does not want hand on day to day grind and wants to enjoy the fruits of his labour. Joe Lydon? Nobody has ever described Joe as a workaholic. A larakin? Hogan. I have great hopes for. He has been there done that re his position and seems a 24/7 man. However, can he do it alone?

Worried. I honestly do bnot think some fans realise just how vital Trent was and what a hole he leaves.

I would rather blood youngsters than sign Haggerty who is overweight and makes Hocky look like a Brain Surgeon.

I realise it CP, just hope the management does and stop giving money willy nilly to players who

a) don't deserve it &
b) have not earned it :doz:

Totally concur Josie. My grumpiness (Honesy ;) ) has been since the day we were told Trent was leaving.
