got a laptop thats just over 12months old.

having pop-up probems with the IE7!

i've tried everything within the settings to combat this.

can anyone recomment any free downloads that may fix my problems?

or anything else i'm not thinking of???

tried the new IE8 and not joy! pop-ups remain!

try using google chrome. i`ve been using it for a couple of months and find it much better than explorer

You may have some spyware on your computer,download the free version of superantispy and see if that sorts the problem out.

Dump Internet exploder and get Firefox.

Also get Malwarebytes - best anti-spyware around.

I also keep getting mini sites popups!! doing my head in, especially when your in the middle of something and you are interrupted with a blooming pop up.

Have just downloaded Superantispy and will keep you posted as to how it affects things, thanks for the advice.

why doesn't IE's pop-up blocker stop the sites? even when the URL is on the 'blocked list'???
