Re: World Club Challenge - Biff - Perry vs Peacock video

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

How did ryan baily not get done for his envolement?

35 second into the above video he comes in and unloads on a manly player. It is this kind of fighting that gets player red carded. If they were not invovled in the incedent and come in like he did they normal get a red card. The TJ of the far side positioning was crap. At one point he was 2 meters away from the near side tj. He should have been the other side of the fight.

In your view was that a legal hit on Burrow?

I did not think it was that bad. Burrow did duck a little bit. the guy did not swing his arm.

Not as good as the Newton tackle on Long

I didn't think the hit was that bad. Burrow seemed to slip or duck a little bit just before the tackle. Plus Watmough hardly raised his arms above waist height. If it had been a normal height player and not Burrow, then the tackle would have been allowed and not penalised, IMO.

I think it looked worse because of the height difference plus the fact that the playe was, seemingly, attempting a shoulder charge but it ended up looking a bit like an elbow to the head.

I agree with Sutty, initially i thought Burrow was slipping as he got tackled... it didnt seem too high, just a cruncher! If we get penalised for hits like that then we're going to get Sean Long rolling round the 20 metre line impersonating Ronaldo being shot in his monkeys tail

Its high its cos Burrow is small on a taller player it would have been sweet but hits hos head deaming it illegal.

Best tackle in the history of Superleague! Pity it doesn't happen a bit more often!

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I think he was referring to the Newton on Long tackle, Josie.
I can't find it anyway.
