Hoping to catch Saxon in April (30 years since I first them).
In a slightly different vain, going to see Derren Brown in Llandudno in May and then the Shaolin (or however you spell it) Monks the following week.
Was hoping to get tickets for AC/DC, but not paying the asking price from the touts (when you think I paid £3 on the Highway To Hell tour, with the great Bon Scott)

I went to watch Metallica at the MEN last week. They were almost as good as ever. James Hetfield did seem to have lost a bit of strength in his voice though and he never swore (well only twice anyway). Was a great gig though and they played a lot from their new album as well as some of the old "greats". Sixth time I've seen them now and they're still a class act.

The old air guitar certainly took some hammering :D Hopefully it wont be another 13 years before they come back to Manchester!!

I wouldn't mind seeing Girls Aloud either, but purely for non-musical reasons.

as for gigs i'm going to see elbow on saturday as a belated birthday present, but means i miss the bratford game, but elbow are far less likely to let me down the wigan are i guess!

also going to see white lies in may, which would be my recommended new band - i'd describe the sound as a mixture of interpol and echo and the bunnymen with a hint of tears for fears. http://www.last.fm/music/White+Lies

Iv got tickets for AC/DC in Glasgow this summer for me and my daughter. Had to join the fan club to get them at Xmas but well worth it. Mind you only cost me £5 when i last say them in the 80's in Glasgow
