Driving home after the Giants match on Sunday and wanting to hear the Yorkist report of the game I listened to Radio Leeds and heard an interview with Gary Mercer who stated categorically that Cas had now signed Luke Robinson until the end of the season as they saw him as an outstanding player.
Maurice is going to sign Stacey Jones, you can just see it coming with this groundwork to disillusion Luke.

In one of the linked match reports it says that the Cas chairman in going to hold talks about it, not decided yet but is looking likely.

It's not a bad thing if he stays there all season, he'll get more games, will be easier to shine at a poor club. Just pray we get him back.

I'm not sure that it will improve him much getting stuffed with 50 points each and every game, his one fault at Wigan I used to think was trying to be the top tackler in every game, at Cas he might have to be!

Aye... I thought he tried too hard, his enthusiasm to do well sometimes affected his judgement.

They are getting hammered most weeks but it will be in the back of his mind that he isn't there full-time, I'm sure he is taking it seriously but his livelihood doesn't depend on it as much as the other players.

It's the experience against SL opposition that will do him good, he needs to get used to playing at the top level.

its good news for everyone concerned. luke is still a wigan player he is playing super league football regular and we dont have to pay his wages. i only wish we had done the same with sean briscoe.this will give robinson the chance to win his place back in the team. if he can play well at cas he will put an awful lot of pressure on maurice to bring him back.

Wasn't think thing with Briscoe that he didn't want to go on loan he wanted to be a first team player which kind of shot himself in the foot?

how daft is that he stated when he left us ill be back to play for wigan in the future as its my home town?even briscoe must have known he wasn't going to put rads out of his position.

Latest news is that Wigan have agreed a further one-month extension to the loan deal with a 24-hour recall clause. Cas are now chasing Brad Davis as a replacement for Luke, so Wigan must have ruled out any long-term or transfer possibilities.
